Another Step

It has been a busy fall and winter. The week after the MSJ Assembly we completely tore down the nave to run the electric. For several weeks we were in a state of disarray. We began putting it back together, and had the sheet rock hung in time for the Christmas program December 21. We celebrated our Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, in our newly drywalled and insulated nave. This past week, the first week of Epiphany, we re-assembled the sanctuary, and placed the Stations of the Cross. The walls are all primed, and the block is sealed as we decide on paint. It is exciting to see it all come together, but more than that, it is exciting to have a share in creating a space that lifts our hearts to God in worship when we walk through the door. Thanks be to God and all his people who have given sacrificially of time, talent and financial resources to get us this far. The work is far from done, but here we pause, take a deep breath, and take stock of what has been accomplished. Non nobis, non nobis Domine, Sed nomini tuo da gloriam Psalm 115:1
